Libby Walker
Producer

Born in South Shields, Libby is an actor, producer and director, proud of her working class Tyneside roots and best known for her role as Becky in FISHERMEN’S FRIENDS 2, alongside fellow Geordie Dave Johns and James Purefoy. Her first taste of television was during the final season of BBC’s BYKER GROVE before training at London’s prestigious West End Theatre School, the LONDON STUDIO CENTRE.

Libby’s passion for producing and directing was sparked by acting coach, author and producer Amanda Brennan, whom she trained under at the ROYAL CENTRAL SCHOOL OF SPEECH AND DRAMA, graduating with a distinction in MA Acting for Screen. Libby’s producing debut, ZEMI (2022) won a plethora of awards both nationally and internationally including Best International Short Film on three occasions as well as making International selection at the NEW YORK LATINO FILM FESTIVAL (NYLFF) the largest global festival of its kind.

Most recently ZEMI has received its highest accolade yet after it was awarded a national honour by the Dominican Republic, the country on which ZEMI’s story is based. Here, ZEMI is regarded as a film that truly captures the culture, heritage and identity of the Dominican Republic and its people.

Libby considers upholding the authenticity of a story as a producer’s highest priority. She believes strongly in challenging the status quo of the current film industry and so created NANA PEG PRODUCTIONS LTD alongside fellow Geordie writer, director and producer Neil Marshall as a means of telling Tyneside stories on the big and small screen; bringing the world to the North East and taking the North East to the world.

Neil Marshall
Writer & Director

Born in Newcastle, has been working successfully in both feature films and the television industry since his feature debut ‘DOG SOLDIERS' in 2001. His second feature as both writer and director, ‘THE DESCENT’ 2005 was an even bigger critical and commercial hit, winning several awards including the BIFA for Best Director, and the Empire award for Best Horror. He followed this success with the post-apocalyptic action movie ‘DOOMSDAY’ 2008 and historical adventure ‘CENTURION’ 2010.   In 2012 Neil made his debut in the world of high-end television with GAME OF THRONES S2 Ep9 ‘BLACKWATER’, and followed that up with S4 Ep9 ‘THE WATCHERS ON THE WALL’ for which he received an Emmy Nomination for Best Director.

Neil has continued to make a considerable name for himself, working in the network, cable and streaming arenas directing projects such as the pilot episodes of ‘BLACK SAILS’ for Starz, DC’s ‘CONSTANTINE’ and ‘TIMELESS’ both for NBC.  Neil also directed notable episodes of ‘HANNIBAL’ for Showtime and ‘WESTWORLD’ for HBO. In 2017 Neil developed, produced and directed the Netflix reboot of classic science fiction series ‘LOST IN SPACE’, quickly followed the same year by the big budget feature reboot of ‘HELLBOY’ released in 2018.

In 2020 Marshall made his return to independent film and the horror genre with the multi-award winning witch-hunt saga ‘THE RECKONING’ which was the opening movie at Fantasia festival in Canada that year.  This year sees the release of Marshall’s latest movie, ‘THE LAIR’, an all-action creature-feature set in Afghanistan. ‘The Lair’ was the opening night presentation at Frightfest 2022 in London and also played Sitges in Spain along with many other international festivals.

Neil switched pace and genres in the summer of 2022 filming the violent gangster revenge pic ‘DUCHESS’ on location in Tenerife in the Canary Islands. ‘DUCHESS’ was released internationally in August of 2024, including theatrical release by Saban in the US and Vertigo in the UK. Most recently Neil switched genres yet again for the erotic giallo thriller ‘COMPULSION’ which filmed on location in Malta.
